A World Fair for the Future

      Google I/O is one of Google's most important events of the year. In 2022, Google was hosting I/O live and in person for the first time since 2019. The challenge was to create a visual identity that would bring people together to showcase Google's vision for the future for both the live audience and the global audience watching online.

      Google I/O 2022's visual identity was inspired by World Expos with the use of bold primaries, Google Sans, and the traditional I/O logo and putting their innovations front and center. This created a uniquely Google take on a globally understood theme. The visual identity was used across all aspects of the event, from the website and marketing materials to the stage design and keynote graphics. It was a success in bringing people together to showcase Google's vision for the future, both live and online.
